BASICS - Benefiting All Students In Cranston Schools
BASICS has provided affordable music instruction to over 800 elementary students since 2009.

Thank you to all of our sponsors for allowing us to provide for students in need.  Through their kindness and generosity, we have been able to offer financial assistance to approximately 30% of our families and keep overall program costs down.

We have been privileged to watch music students grow. They have sold out events, packed audiences at the Garden City Gazebo, and have been featured on ABC, NBC, and in many print newspapers.  They've pulled off an amazing flash mobs.  They've made CD's, opened their own art shows, worked to raise hundreds of dollars to help other kids in our community.

GUITAR: We offer two levels of acoustic guitar lessons. We recommend beginner level for students who are just starting out, or are still becoming comfortable with their instrument; intermediate level for students with 2+ years of experience with a sound understanding of the basic skills. Students will be placed in classes based on their experience with their instrument; placement is subject to change as the year progresses.

Age group: students in grades 4-8
Cost: $250 for the year* (25 weeks of classes, payment plan available)

*Students are required to bring their own instrument to class. Guitars must be rented or purchased separately and are not included in the program cost. Please, no “toy” guitars – they inhibit our ability to instruct properly as they do not stay in tune or encourage proper fingerings.

INTRO TO BROADWAY: In this exciting class, students will explore the world of theatre, learning the FUNdamentals of acting, singing, improv, and movement for stage! The class will culminate in a performance of her original musical inspired by The Wizard of Oz.
